About our Senior Manager
Tara Lynne Clapp has been serving the Columbia Basin Watershed Network since January 2015. First as Coordinator to the CBWN as a program administered by Mainstreams Environmental Society, and as Senior Manager in its new form as a Society. Tara brings her expertise in community development and environmental collaboration to her position as Senior Manager of the CBWN. She also works as a consultant in strategic planning and land use. She currently serves on the Board of the Kaslo and District Community Forest.
Prior to returning to the Basin, Tara taught and researched in water and environmental planning, sustainable communities, and planning theory at Iowa State University. While at ISU, she worked with the Iowa Environmental Council, a statewide environmental network that focuses on water and energy/climate policy. Prior to her work at Iowa State, she worked with rural water groups – and with community brownfields redevelopment – with the Environmental Finance Centre at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
