Columbia Basin Watershed Network Society
The Columbia Basin Watershed Network Society is the go-to hub for watershed groups to find training, information, or connections. We are a voice for watershed stewardship across the Basin.
We engage watershed groups in learning from each other through our member meetings, website, newsletters and in connecting groups with one another. We assist watershed groups across the Basin with access to scientific and funding resources for projects through our website, database, and our Advisory Committees. We engage member groups through a series of conversations to seek opportunities for collaboration on priorities and resources. We actively support members and partners in promoting their educational and training activities. We will establish the new Society as responsive and responsible to our members, partners, and constituents as we put appropriate plans and policies in place.
The Columbia Basin Watershed Network works to meet the needs of Network members located in the Canadian Columbia Basin. This area is bounded in the west by the Monashee Mountains and in the east by the Rocky Mountains. The CBWN encourages collaboration and information sharing with water stewards outside of these regions, especially in the rest of the larger Columbia River Watershed including the Okanagan and Boundary on the Canadian side and the entire watershed on the U.S. side.
We accept donations. Our current priority is to connect watershed groups with one another to set regional priorities.
